  • BSD Geek becoming a post whore :D

I see you were bored today, BSD Geek.

How is the newer BSD's workin' out? I haven't tried it since 4.8 or was it 4.5. Can't recall anymore.

I've been using Libranet 2.8 for quite a while now, and I LIKE it. Though I'm thinking I need a bigger harddrive for linux, since right now I only have a 9.1gb. I have Gnome 2.2 installed and wouldn't mind playing around with KDE, but don't really have the harddrive space (especially after having Neverwinter Nights installed as well...)

    Hehehe
FreeBSD 5.1 is working great, lots of improvements that are very useful. I've been trying out all sorts of WMs lately. I particularly like Enlightenment, 'tis purty

SMP support is vastly improved now, so my little Dual P2 can keep chuggin' along.

It'll come out right when you switch to KDE and forget about Enlightenment.

*laughs* well, I've been using Gnome 2.2 and I LOVE IT. Can't wait 'til Gnome 2.4 comes out, which should be pretty soon. I don't know what it is, but I've never liked KDE. Initially it was because it just felt/looked too windowsish... Been using Gnome since oh geez... forever. Since the first few releases.

I think what sold me is GTK. The themes for it just kicked butt.

I'll probably be trying out Gnome today. Have you ever used Ximian?

I used it back in the Gnome 1.4 days and it was pretty smooth, but normal Gnome for debian soon surpassed the setup. Haven't tried XD2 yet, 'cause I'm perfectly happy with 2.2.2.

I'm a Gnome guy too. I really liked 1.4 when I started getting into Linux, but there were some really annoying things that bugged me. 2.2 fixed most of the issues I had.
