YUY2 Output from MS 5.2

Have G400 TV and MSPro 5.2 on a PIII500 with one 7200 20 gig drive. I’m getting good YUY2 Huffy half frame captures thru Virtual Dub or even MSPro. The TMPEG conversions of the files look great. However, can’t edit the files. I know 5.2 doesn’t do MPEG 1 or 2, but thought it would output in the same format as the input – i.e., in YUY2 Huffy. I’m setting the output to exactly match parameters of input file. It looks like it is working, but finished file shows a few good frames, then nothing but noise. Is this 5.2 or am I doing something wrong? Capturing YUY2 Huffy and converting with TMPEG is the only method I have found to create acceptable MPEG files. If MS 6.0 will output the YUY2, that’s my decision to upgrade.

Are you using HuffYUV 2.1.1? Earlier versions may have problems.

I will double check, but I believe it is the latest version. Just downloaded last week. Could it be a field order issue? I am setting as field order B as I assumed this was a function of the card not MJPEG -- but I could be wrong.

Field B is the correct setting.
