    I'm impressed by VIA's latest showing. They seem to have gotten their act together recently, though I wish they would spend the same amount of resources on AMD platforms...

    It seems AMD is the guinea pig for their memory controllers, then they fix them and put them on Intel chipsets.

    Via == Recycle bin.
    Still they made the most entertaining chipsets over the years.

        To bad they won't have the rights to produce Intel chipsets in about a year IIRC...

            I have a KT400 Chipset. It will be my last one from VIA.

              KT266 was my last VIA chipset. My machines are all SiS or AMD chipsets now.

                My KT400 is my first VIA, and my 2000+ is my first AMD.
                Have had no problems at all since I installed them over 6 months ago. Very stable, plenty fast. No complaints here.

                  Maybe you'll be smart and next time get an Intel CPU as well

                  P.S. To fellow MURCers, this isn't a slam against AMD, just a slam against Byock, 'cause we're always giving each other crap over Intel/AMD or ATI/Matrox

                    Byock won't have any wings left after he shells out for an equivalent Intel

                      VP3 interesting bugs, MVP3 interesting bugs, KT133A complete crap. KT266 and KT266a at least worked I suppose striaght out of the box.
