Nope don't delete the soap box.
I've noticed some posters only think that the lounge is the only forum here.

Would the posts be lost? I assume the the post count is only one way. It would be quite slow if the forum had to re-count everyones post count all the time.

Yes the post counts would be removed

just the way it works. and it doesn't recount, just for each post deleted, it takes one from your total
