Getting Dual Head on Matrox Marvel G400

I have a MatroxMarvel G400 installed on my Windows 98SE,Asus av7 MB,Athlon Tbird 900 CPU, 256 mb Ram PC.......I want to feed out some video files out to my Samsung Multi Souce VCR to be videod.....I understand this can be done via my Marvel card....I think I have all the settings right for dual head and the leads from my breakout box are correct yet I have no hint of anything on my VCR tape or indeed on my TV which I presume is my dual head secondary monitor.....Can anybody help me please ..Warning ..I am old and not too bright ? So I do need fairly explicit directions.... I do not even seem to have audio in the audio leads coming from the breakout box to my VCR let alone a video signal....
