  • Norton Internet Security vs Zone Alarm Pro

Well, my Zone Alarm Pro version is rather old, 3.5 and there aren't many chances to upgrade it.
However, I have a copy of Norton Internet Security 2003 that came bundled with the motherboard and I could use that.

So, how good is Norton versus an old version of ZAP ?

My Norton IS works fine, and unlike ZA it does not hog almost all my system resources when a P2P network connection is established

I third Sygate. Not as pretty as Norton, but does the job without the extra junk that Norton comes with.

Remember, Norton is not the answer.

            Norton is the question.
            The answer is NO.

2003 works fine here no problems.
I haven't seen many Zonealarm problems at work in the last few months so they may have fixed it and made it more reliable.

I'm also very happy with Kerio Personal Firewall.
