Rather, post a link to a nice picture collection.
So everybody can choose his own desktop! :)

(here in Italy, the fastest way to have a desktop image is to pay for it, about 4-5 )

And also DeskMod (http://www.deskmod.com/) and deaddreamer (http://www.deaddreamer.com/).

An for some reason I have this deviantART collection (http://silentfx.deviantart.com/deviations) in favourites - I guess it seemed nice some time ago.
So I'll check what's interesting there :D

here ya go

http://www.geisswerks.com/drempels/index.html

install this and you desktop, menus and anything you want can be swirling mass of fluid forms. This is active graphics not passive...

hint if you use it for menus's and normal window colours, brighten/bleach the colours so you text remains readable as darker areas pass acros your menu's

I recomend using some of escher's stuff for some of the bitmaps, but pretty much anything works well...

Used to have soemthing similar in my old atari days, and have finaly find it for windows...It fecking excellent:D
This has done wonders for my productivity at work NOT...

I've said "the fastest". Italy is the reign of legalized "ass**uking".

If you go on Altavista for desktop and such (in italian), the first hundreds of result you get are all about the home pages of only two/three sites.
If you try those, they want you to install a redialer that will let you browse their collections at the cost of "ONLY" 1 or 2 /minute...

I'm going to abuse this thread and post some wallpapers that have graced my desktop recently (I change them quite often). Sources:

Planet image came from http://www.artofgregmartin.com/ as I mentioned above.
Geobreeders wallpapers can be found at http://www.animeone.com/things.cfm
Find Misato at http://www.mixedmedia.tk/ and Rei at http://keiichi.cjb.net/
The F-14 carrier pic came from http://home.earthlink.net/~saabdraken/f14/
The physics conference image came from Britney Spears' Guide to Semiconductor Physics, which I'm sure a little googling will turn up.
The Golden Gate Bridge picture was taken by a friend.
The butterfly's a well-known MorphOS wallpaper, I'll dig out a link if anyone wants it. Someone randomly posted the mountains in Usenet as a test, I liked it so I kept it. I can't remember where the other F-14 pic, the Mozilla lizard image or the Hellsing pic came from, I'll post them if someone wants them. The F-14 pic is a piece of Dru Blair airbrush art, find out more about this guy at http://www.drublair.com/

I'm using the Rei image at the moment because it's light and works really well with transparent terminals. (I must sit down and fix those aterm bugs sometime.)

Oh, have a look round http://www.dfrc.nasa.gov/Gallery/ if you're into oddball aircraft. You'll probably have to crop the pictures a bit before they're suitable for wallpaper though.

In danish there is only one k in smuk ( smuk = beautiful)
proper sentence would be "hun er smuk" = she is beautiful :)

/* discalimer: I have not had to write anything in Danish for some 9 years now! :) */

Ah, you are correct, but M|x is Norwegian ;) When used as the verb describing something you use 2 k's, afaik.

It's been nearly 7 years since I last wrote consistenly in Danish.

Thanx all!

I know I am very lucky. To me, she is the prettiest.

Smuk, smukkere, smukkest!

All the nordic (and dutch) languages are more or less the same.

Our great heritage.

Shame on you Duke for hijacking this thread like that! Once you posted her picture, no-one except me was bothered about the original thread topic, and even I got sidetracked. :D

Shame indeed....
