  • Well at least my new steering wheel works

After downloading the latest drivers and re-installing the drivers twice and using the usb ports on the machine rather than the hub.
Seems the problem was that some games didn't support seperate pedals option. Since microshaft doesn't support my sidewinder force non usb under XP I didn't get that option. The little bastards.

Tell me about it. I bought the the USB one and it isn't really supported under XP either. You can install it, and it works, just by plugging it in. But if you want any of the extra things like adjusting the force on it, you have to install drivers that WinXP thinks aren't certified!!!! You put the CD in that came with the Wheel and it says that they were only made for Windows 98! And of course (well since last I checked, but considering how old it is now, they probably haven't changed it) they have NO updated drivers on their page for their own goddamned hardware! I should have bought the Logitech, but I didn't know that CompUSA had them for the same price I bought this wheel at Software Etc.

I have the original MS force feedback Pro on my computer.. I cannot control the force on it in the control panel, but all the buttons work in XP.. used it to play Mechwarrior 4

The only reason why I bought the Sidewinder force was that I thought Microshaft would at least build the drivers in or support it in later OS's.
        What a fool.

Yeah, I love my logitech. Leech, you should have got the MoMo one, it is just sweet!

I like MS hardware, but sadly they do not seem to support it in their own OS.

Yeah, most definitely should have got the MoMo one. Did they stop selling it? It was up at the CompUSA last I looked. (though that was a while ago....)
