  • Mixing non-matrox cards for a dual monitor setup.

    Hi:
I'm a new RT2000 users and would like to have a dual monitor setup again. I've been looking for a G200 PCI card (OEM - I don't want to pay $170.00 when bought from Matrox) in Toronto but have been unable to find one.

My question is: Has anyone been able to use two monitors with a card from other companies? I plan on running mostly Win2k when it's ready.

I'm going to post this message in a few places.

    Thanks

I use an AGP G200 Millienium as secondary and
Voodoo3 2000 PCI as primary without problems on w2k. The Voodoo 3 2000 PCI can be had for ~$80, or less with various rebate offers I see advertised. I've also used it as secondary with a TNT2 as primary. You will of course have to use the PCI card as Seconday with the RT2000 video card as Primary.

FYI...I use a G200-TV AGP as primary card and ATI Xpert'98 PCI as second with no problems (W98 though)
        PII350, MarvelG200, MSP5.2, PromiseFT w/2x8.4's, SB-PCI128
