  • P750 now available in UK

    Hi all,

Wanted a Matrox P750, so asked Dabs - usual inane reply - this company's presales customer service has completed evaporated and with it much of my confidence.

So emailed Matrox-UK, who said that Microtronica 0118- 9633870 was a UK distributor so rang them to ask who they distributed to... and rang one of them (Spot-on Computers) and after they rang the distributor, I finally got a price.

£178.80 plus £7 carriage (I'm not sure whether that included vat or not - bit remiss of me not to check).

Is that a good price then? Anyone know where in the UK, it's cheaper.

    Thanks all,

    Taliska

I think it would be safe to assume that this gen does not have a banding issue.
*Please note this is a personal oppinion, and I will let you know my experiences when I get my hands on one.

P650/750 is a revised "LX" core.
The 'banding issue' has supposedly been addressed (though I don't have one, so I can't speak from 1st hand experience).

Thanks SteveC - Just ordered it from there - seems to be a very good price and every pound saved... means I can buy more kit!

                    Cheers, Taliska

An office card with TripleHead, negligible 3D performance. The p650 only has DualHead.

What I was merely pointing out is that it is not just an office card!
