  • "[drm] failure adding irq handler"

Last weekend I installed RHL v9 on the same hardware I previously ran RHL v7.3 on, including my G400MAX. Now I'm getting behavior that I haven't seen before.

Is it a problem that an IRQ can't be found for use with DRM (see below)? It's not shown in the log file as either an error or a warning, but it seems that the use of an IRQ is desireable.

It doesn't say what IRQ it wants. Typically, video wants IRQ 11, but that is not currently in use by any other device.

    Any thoughts on this? Thanks.

I have the same "symptoms" and it all works fine for me.

Check if your BIOS has the option to reserve an IRQ for the video card (although I've got that set and I still get this behaviour).

Unless you're actually having problems, I wouldn't worry about it.
Blah blah blah nick blah blah confusion, blah blah blah blah frog.
