  • Which DVD Player Supports Direct show?

Just wondering which DVD player that you know of supports Direct show?

The new WYSIWYG driver for the RT.X100/10 only supports Direct show aps in order to output to TV.

I tried playing a DVD using PowerDVD 4.0, Windvd 4.0 and Media Player 9.0 not one outputs to TV when playing back DVD's.

Any other player I can try?

    Thanks,
    Elie

    Hi Elie

I dont know how this is going to work with a G450 that has DVDMax active. As I understand it the codec generates an overlay that gets output to tv, so perhaps you can check again by disabling DVDMax on the G450?

I cannot find written proof that PowerDVD4 is "Directshow compatible", but its quite happy to output to tv via DVDMax on the G550 any codec I care to mention and the G550 drivers I have is surely Directshow based drivers.

    Same goes for Sasami2K.

I agree with you Lawrence, but I believe the direct show implementation on the RT.X10/100 is a bit different which is why I don't see any TV out.
