      Now if my line passes I'll have to buy myself a router/modem combo. I was thinking of the Netgear DG814 model just checking the specs shortly.

            I am using DG814 with no problems
            The Welsh support two teams when it comes to rugby. Wales of course, and anyone else playing England

              ever considered Linksys? The luxury brand in routers

              I am using a USR... not too good IMO... the power connector is somewhat "loose" and the design looks crappy (i.e. a black box, not too much to see there )

                Hey good luck Pit!!

                We had our line tested a while back and they said it was a no go and hence the hell that is dial up...yup still excited when i hit 3 Kb/s...

                  Well the lead time is 7 to 10 days so I've got a bit of wait.
                  I have considered Linksys but one dealer I deal with on a regular basis doesn't stock them.

                    Does he carry Netgear?
                    Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw. Running WinXP.

                      Err yes that was why i was thinking of ordering it. It's had a few good reviews.

                        I use a little netgear for my home network, and i find it to work perfectly out of the box no problems...were that all thing were that simple...

                              I haven't and I wouldn't want my neighbours hi jacking my bandwidth. You wouldn't know what they're downloading.
