  • overscan with marvel g400

    hello,

i have a problem with my marvel g400 by using the tv-out. with my old agp-card (radeon 9000) there were no overscan, but since i'm using the marvel g400 5% - 10% of the right and the left side are cut off. so it's impossible to read th subtitles of a dvd-movie correct. what can i do against this?

    thx 4 help

get an output device which doesn't suffer from overscan.. like a plasma screen, LCD screen or projector.

Overscan is a feature, not a bug. Every proper stand-alone DVD player does it too. Well, actually, to be technically correct, the TV does it, not the videocard/dvdplayer.

If you want to add black borders to the output regardless (silly imho), you might be able to by inserting the dixg400 directshow filter when playing a DVD through directshow (WMP8/9 in combination with powerdvd/windvd filters??? dunno the exact combination needed).
