  • Computer Show.

I've been thinking about setting up a show sometime around August for "alternative Solutions".

As most people that know me are aware of my love of Amiga Systems I thought it might be Kewl to have a "local show" for us midlanders who are into "Different" computers.

That naturally covers Linux/Beos/WhateverOS (Except WinOS)!!

It would be based around the East Midlands (Peterborough) area.

Just wondering what sort of demand there is for such a show ?

    I thought about calling it..............

    East Midlands Alternative Computers Show

    or

    E.M.A.C.S.

As EMAP (CU Amiga) are based here in Peterborough and my Father used to be a bit of a big wig there years ago... might be able to pull some strings advertising wise.

    What do ya think ?

    Is it a Goer ...

    Or a Noer ?

WWhy restrict the name to the E Midlands? That way, you could call it MACS !

But that would restrict it (In their minds) to Apple affecionadoes only.

Its meant to be an alternative show open to ALL alternatives !!

Why, was your show meant to powerfully serve a simple purpose, yet has grown so large and bloated that you've lost all hope and interest of ever seeing it all?

Perhaps he was talking about the EMACS text editor.

              Probably
