best supported card because Matrox did a nice job with providing hardware documentation to developers.
Now why, for god's sake, did they not do the same with the Parhelia? Then at least we'd probably have a 3d driver by now!

Sure seems that way doesn't it? Actually I was just thinking that it'd be nice to have all the features of the windows Drivers in linux, except they can keep the banding. :-)

There's this post on the Matrox tech supp forum that I love.

It's Prez asking about new drivers, and so someone said

"Let me save Ben the time of answering that for you with "Call sales"

Then let me save sales the trouble by saying "We can't comment on that""

          YET
Matrox made this big press release about how they are working on fully supporting Linux and working on a workstation class driver.

          That was....a *few* months ago.

I think that the mass exodus of engineers from the company decimated their Linux driver development, and that we're lucky to see anything from them ever again. Be it a driver, card, or anything. (coke, fries, burger?)

I'll have some fries and a burger, but that carbonated soda is murder on me

All joking aside, yeah, I saw that post. Pretty entertaining. I think I'm going to email sales myself and see if I can persuade them to try to get some linux drivers out at least for the professional side of things.... I'll post their reply here if I get any.... (fingers crossed)
