How do you encode Macrovision?

Does the fact that many consumer-level pieces of hardware out there incorporate copy protection circuits keep consumers from copy-protecting their own creative efforts?

I understood the header, but got confused by the topic text itself. Regardless of the protection "offered" (or thrust down our throats) by consumer-level devices, I believe that the only way to ENcode macrovision is to buy an expensive license from MV themselves.

And then someone will bust the protection anyhow. Amazin how much grief it causes legit consumers when all the pirates have equipment that kill it stone dead. <sigh>

Still, difficult to blame someone from trying to preserve their own copyright.
