  • LotR themed 3D screensaver

Here's a nice looking free screensaver if you're a LotR fan. Not sure if it'll run on a G400 though, but I suppose it's worth a try at least.

This freeware screensaver has been specially created for all the fans of The Lord of the Rings and J.R.R. Tolkien. If you liked the book or the movie, this screensaver will make a great addition to your collection.

Saw that at Rage3D. It's pretty sweet. It will actually run on my Rage LT Pro (few graphical anomolies), so I don't see why it would not run on a G400.

Well, it certainly does NOT run well on an ATI Rage Mobility-M (in my Thinkpad). 1.7 frames/sec, and the ring is all black. I'll try it later on my desktop to see what it should really look like.

Hehe, yeah, I have some custom drivers back in the Rage Pro days when I worked with RageLTMan (aka Boris) at Rage3D. But the map sometimes will disappear below the ring, and sometimes the ring will turn black. And yeah, it's slow. But it's a Rage Pro, heh, surprised it even ran the screensaver at all.

On my system running the screen saver at desktop settings of 1280x960 I get an average of about 120 fps.
