    From a friend:

    "I've got a question....

    I wanna go from my video card's s-video outlet that's a 9 pin... to an rca so i can see it on my big tv

    is that doable? hehe
    all i can find are 7 pin "

    Standard s-video to composite adapter should do the job.
    Most video cards come with one, if not just try a a electronics shop.
    (Tandy and DSE in Australia has them, don't know about the US tho)

    their are to types, one plugs straight into your card and has a rca plug dangling.
    (usual type bundled with cards)

    The other requires a an svideo cable to plug into (see above), these are good becasue you can runs svideo cable all the way to your TV and then change to rca at that end for a better signal.

    PS: don't worry about the extra pins.
