    Anyone know of an converter/viewer that opens these files? My friend sent me some files he needs printed and I only have office XP...
    Why is it called tourist season, if we can't shoot at them?

    Is there an installation option to get the filters which isn't set on by default? If you have the install disks, this might be worth a try...

      yes, surely any corel wordperfect 5.x 6.x can be read with ms word (plays silly buggers with formatting though). As above, you may be missing some software. Then again, i dont run XP, so i could be wrong...

        Office XP can translate and open Wordperfect docs ... just not perfectly.

        File -> Open, select 'Wordperfect 6.x (8.wpd, *.doc)' from the 'Files of type' drop down box.
