        I have a G400 on Win2k with DX9 installed, and I've played a few games since I've installed them...and had no problem.

What does it means "DX9 compatible drivers"?? O__o

Most likely thoroughly tested for DX9 compatibility.

Does this mean that it will do all DX9 calls in software since the G400 can't do it?

No...for example how would you want to do pixel shaders in software?

I think it will be just "non-problematic with dx9"

                  G400 ain't even DX8 capable...
I recall, the word "compatible" has caused lot of misunderstanding in past as well.
