  • audio switch box ?

    Hello,

I have a silly problem with my onboard audio (Avance Logic AC97). There are three connectors: mic in, line in and line out. However, the card supports 6 channel audio, and it turns out the jacks serve multiple purposes. Using the supplied software, the line out can also serve front out, line in can be converted to rear out, and the mic in becomes a center/subwoofer out.
(it is not this mainboard, but it has the same onboard audio: http://www.soltek.com.tw/English/faq/75FRV.htm )

In stead of having to plug/unplug stuff the cables, I was thinking about an audio switch box that would allow easy switching from one config to another:
mainboard mic <-> rear out / mic in
mainboard line in <-> line in / rear out
mainboard line out would remain connected to the same "speakers"

I'd basically think I need 2 devices, each with one button to select the proper connection. Any idea whether such things exist ? Links ? Wiring diagrams for DIY ? ....

    Thanks!
