  • New Setup How many Win2K partitions??

I am setting up a new machine. I intend to use Win2K as my primary video edit OS but will no doubt have to retain a win95 partition for my trusty RRS.

The question. Would I have only one win2K partition for all aps . General and video with a seperate login for the video side or a second install of win2K in a different partition just for video??

Also. Has any one gotten a RRS to succesfully work as the second video card in a system??

    What have onther folks used??

I am currently using my Mystique (without the RRS board) as a second card with both Win 2000 and XP, if that's what you mean. Works fine with the Radeon AIW as primary to drive a second desktop monitor.

Doesn't the RRS need to be on the primary video card? If so, I don't know how you'll be able to use it in that way.

    Cheers,
    Paul

      Hi paulM.

What I am meaning is using the Mystique and RRS as a secondary card for analog capture and a better card as the primary video card. I have bough a Pixelview capture card but have not had time to test it yet so the RRS may be redundant..

A P2.4. Asus P4PE motherboard 512 Meg RAM. Will spend this week giving it a shake down cruise before I finally set it up.. Not sure about the built in sound..
