  • TV Out (G450) via "S-VHS" flickers on 100Hz TV

Hope this is the correct forum for my problem.
Recently I "improved" my parents PC for Digital Video (DV) editing. P3@650MHz on Asus P2B-F, Firewire card with Pinnacle Studio 7 (it's for beginners), G450 with "S-VHS" output to S-VHS VCR (PAL all the way).
All works fine, except the following:
Imagine a camera "swivel" (??? german: Schwenk) from right to left (or vice versa) over a sunny landscape (bright background.
Old procedure: Output from DV camera to VCR via Y/C - very good IQ, scene slides smooth on a big 100Hz TV.
Procedure now: DV edit and rendering to MPEG2 (high bitrate), replay and output to VCR via DVDMax. Result: good IQ but video flickers like on a "25Hz TV".
What can I do to reduce flickering? Note: Camera is crippled for EU with no DV-input.
Has anyone else noticed such kind of flickering at TV-Out -> 100Hz TV?
    Thanks in advance

forget about the 100 Hz.. irrelevant for this problem.

Probably the field order is inversed, or you're outputting interlaced video (DV codec?) through DVD-MAX in progressive mode. In that case, enable 'field based scaling' on the dvd-max properties page.

Thanks for the hint. I'll try this when I visit my parents next time.
