I think Matrox may have a few
When you own your own business you only have to work half a day. You can do anything you want with the other twelve hours.

say heres a good way for matrox to get back into favour with us lot, offer us a small fee upgrade to a 256 P, like £30 or something, they are never going to get rid of them and we would be giving them something for their troubles, id love a 256meg graphics card if only to say "yep thats got 256 meg on it and its stil slower than that 64 meg over there"

I'd love that ONLY if the fee was really small.

right now for playing gasmes it probably wont make any difference, maybe ut2003 with full textures and details could just skip over 128 meg, but i suspect the games over the next year will start exceeding 128 meg with all the bells and whistles, whether P would even be fast enough to deal with them is another matter entirely.the 256 is workstation aimed.

And nobody's made the point either that the 256mb version is clocked the same as the OEM version. It's definitely geared towards the professional workstation.
