      Looking hard.

I'd have given my eye teeth to see that test (from a safe distance)

                    aha

(seemed rather odd testing nukes in Florida)

This is a kitchen match compared to some of the stuff in the world's arsenals. Ironically, weapons like this were intended to make tactical nukes obsolete. All the punch, none of the fallout.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't this bad boy have the same yield as the Hiroshima/Nagasaki bombs (and weigh about the same)?

Don't worry about "Weapons of Mass Destruction", the world is covered with natural explosives (Resurgent Calderas) that are more than capable of causing rather serious problems.

The Hiroshima bomb was roughly 15 kilotons, that's 30,000,000 pounds, THIRTY MILLION. That MOAB is in the 21000 pound range.
