        Surely they can't cock-up something as simple as a SATA controller?
        It cost one penny to cross, or one hundred gold pieces if you had a billygoat.

          Okay there's gonna be a bandwidth problem. There gonna screw up something else thats going to mean it's stuck at ata 33 standard. The drivers are going to bollocked so it's gonna corupt your data and George B is going to end up writing decent drivers for it which Via are going to nick.

          I've also noticed that Via have stopped slagging George B off and posting links to his work is now allowed at Via Areana again.

                  Until about the MVP3, they couldn't even get the IDE controller right. And I'm not saying that they've got it right since the MVP3, just that that's the last chipset before I lost track.

                  Edit: Anyone remember VIA's plans for an SMP KT266? :shudder:
