  • Capping bad vhs- AVT-8710 TBC...nice!

    Hi Folks!

Well....further to my earlier post requesting info on how to cap some really old, unstable vhs tapes I can now report back.

First off....I've gotten it to work well using the on-board tbc in my camcorder (sony dctrv120) but before trying it I ordered the AVT-8710 TBC / Frame Synchronizer from avtoolbox. Well...it just arrived!

This little box is VERY sweet! First and foremost, the output is rock solid stability-wise! It also has loads of extra features (like color, contrast, sharpness, etc.) and at us$179 it's a great deal imho.

Anyway....just wanted to pass on the info for any of you with similar stuff you're having trouble capturing.
