  • Capture card to go with G550

    Hi there!
    I have the following configuration:

intel PIII at 800 MHz, running on an intel MB D815EEA
512MB RAM, HDD IBM 65 GB UDMA 100, with 7200rpm
    Video card Matrox G550 Millenium
    --------

I intend to buy a capture card, and I don't know which one to choose between Pinnacle Studio DC10+, studio 8 version and Matrox Marvel e450.

    Can you please help?
    Thank you.

Don't think a Marvel G450 eTV would go with a G550 since both are AGP cards, you'll have to ditch the G550. Also, I'm not sure how good the software/driver support for the Marvel G450 is these days.
Don't know about Pinnacle, you could head over to the Desktop Video forum (or ask/wait for Kruzin to move this thread there) and get more info.

Though you might want to try a ATI All-in-Wonder card.
Best Computers has a 7500, 8500 and 9000 Pro Hercules made AIW for sale while Tape a 9700 Pro AIW built by ATI, depending on your budget.
(all of them are AGP cards)

      Yep.
Desktop Video is the place to ask this question, so this thread will now be moved there...
