  • Parhelia and Cinema4D R8 -- no go?

    Hi there,

friend of mine has an annoying problem with Cinema4D Release 8 and his Parhelia. Maxon introduced a new "improved" OpenGL mode for the Cinema4D viewports. Now, on the Parhelia, it works for about 30s to 1 minute, and then: freeze. Not even crash, but complete freeze. Software viewport works, as did the "old" OpenGL viewport in release 7. But that's not really something you'd like to work with.

Can anybody here confirm the issue, or does anybody know a possible solution? All Maxon had to say about it was "err, we don't have the foggiest what's going on. Is the Parhelia OpenGL compliant?"

    Win2k SP3, DX9 (didn't work with DX8.1 either), drivers 1.03.00.043.

    Thanks for your time,
