  • How do I _remove_ IE customization?

    _All_ the customizations.

I can't remember how to do this under WindowsME.

There's a few files to remove and a few registry lines to edit, but I just can't remember...

    Thx.

You can begin by searching for the string that follows 'Microsoft Internet Explorer provided by...' - that will take that out. The animation is a bmp file somewhere. Try X-Setup perhaps, apologies if it's a Win2k only tweaker though.

thx, but what I actually need (helping a friend so I learn bits as I go ) is to enable the "save password" in the dial-up properties when I launch IE. I've already removed the other bits I found....

Does the user logon to Windows itself? IE associates the Dial-Up Networking passwords with a user account, so you need them to logon at bootup.

I hope it is of help anyway, P.
