  • intellimouse explorer + i815 problems

My work machine is 1G pentium on a intel 815 board made by acer
    (its an acer veriton 7100)
Has on board video, but I use a agp g200 and an PCI old millenuim.

using the standard mouse I have no problems(USB).

But if I use the USB intellimouse exploerer(version 1) it will work perfectly, except if I leave the mouse plugged in over night it will crash the machine.(unplugging when I leave work works, but If I forget it will be locked up the next day)

It seem to be a powersaving problem, but it does not crash when the screen saver kicks in and the PC is set to always be on?.

I just can not find a solution

may have try a USB to ps2 converter?

hmm... are you sure it's not set to hibernbate/standby or anything stupid like that???
The Welsh support two teams when it comes to rugby. Wales of course, and anyone else playing England

If your Windows version supports your mouse without additional drivers uninstall the MS Intellimouse software -unless you absolutey need to be able to program all buttons.

            still crashing.

            computer set to always on
            no hibernate
            no standy
            hdd do noyt spinf down.
            screen saver only.

I will install the inetillpoint software and see if that fixes it.
