  • G400 Old Age?

I have a G400 dual head graphics card and recently I have been having problems at boot up. Where my desktop is supposed to appear I often get a screen of small coloured boxes..like a grid pattern. I have to reboot into safe mode, switch off and try again which usually fixes the problem and my desktop appears. The G400 is over 3 years old....is this a sign of old age and a time to replace with a newer one? I have tried taking the card out and putting back in, and also tried another monitor. Any clues to what I can do? many thanks...

Could also be the PS or the MB

How about posting up your system specs.
