Can't capture now in XP or 2000 with my g200 (I could before)

I have recently upgraded my system and can no longer capture consistently in 2000 or Xp. I have installes the patches etc just like I did before, but when I try to capture MJPEG, avi_io and Virtual Dub don't capture any frames.
On the odd occasion it may work but then I press capture again 20 seconds later and nothing captures again (the audio vu doesn't move at all).
I know this card isn't really supposed to capture in 2000 and XP but I had it working perfectly before. I've tried a clean install of both operating systems - still the same.
I had a Biostar motherboard before with Via chipset.
Now I have an Asus board with Via KT400 chipset. I'm wondering if its my board.
Has anyone had this problem or can anyone help?

Probably the new system board. It's a real crapshoot getting the G200 to work in Win2K (I gave up). A delicate balancing act between the G200 and the motherboard and the various drivers and patches applied. In fact I think it's possible to have two IDENTICAL systems running the Marvel in W2K and one will work and the other won't.

The Number One rule once you've gotten it to work is DON'T CHANGE ANYTHING!
