  • Capture to mpeg 2 error

    Hi

    I have big problem :-P

When i want to use a Matrox Pc-VCR and capture video to mpeg 2 format (it doesn't matter in which resolution) i have an error.
"Error in the MPEG Encoder - Illegal motion vector value" and my capture stos after fev seconds.
Sometimes i dont have this error but my capture stops after few seconds too.

I try to reinstall ma MAtrox software. I try to install new drivers (display - 5.82 vid tool - 02.10.10) but it doesn't fix this error.

My card is Matrox G450 eTv
    I have athlon 1,2G 256 mb Ram
Soundblaster live (i try to capture without sound and error still exist)
I install new via 4 in 1 drivers.
I try lots of changes in bios but it doesn't nothing

But it's strange because it's look like this is only Mpeg (Pc-VCR) error.
Because when i captured with virtualdub to avi file it was ok.!!!

Then what's wrong with mpeg encoder ????

    Big thx for every reply.

PC-VCR is not meant for MPEG capture. It is better to capture in best resolution avi, edit and title and then convert to MPEG-2.
