  • Features of NEW 1.03.00.043 drivers

What are the advantages of the new 1.03.00.043 Matrox Parhelia drivers?
Ist the Reefdemo able to run (was not with 1.02 drivers)?
Can the apptimizer and tweaking utility run?
Has anyone experience with the new drivers?
    Matrox rox, S3 sucks!

I have weird thing going on with new drivers and 3DMark 2001 SE.

Everytime I install new Parhelia drivers (yes, I have tried this atleast three times), I can immediately after driver installation run the 3DMark test as it should be done. The score is 1-2% better than what it was with the older drivers.
Then, if I want to run the test again later or with different resolution I only get ~60 FPS max.

I have checked the driver options, so that the V-Sync and anti-aliasing options are disabled. Usually I use RefreshLock -program to change my monitor refresh rate, if it drops to 60Hz. This program is also disabled whenever I run 3DMark tests.

    Have anyone experienced the same?
Could it be a bug in the drivers or should I try to re-install my Windows?

Sounds to me like a driver conflict did you make sure that you completely removed the previous drivers ??? I'd recommend removing the software and then going into device manager and removing the parhelia and then reboot when it asks. Then Windows will detect it and then you can direct it to the 1.03 drivers

3dfx, I just did what you suggested. Now everything works just fine.
Seems that removing drivers only by using "Add/Remove program" wasn't enough this time!

        Thanks!

            *sigh*

Everytime an issue gets fixed in MS Flight Simulator 2002 something new is broken.

Time for another thread on Matrox support forums on Monday.
