  • Was the Alpha P better than the retail?

Judging on the comments ages ago before the parhelia was released. Alot of the comments by Anandtech etc, were very positive. Just after he had been to matrox for a demo of the new board (6 months ago).

This missing chip TV-encoder whatever it is. Wonder if we'll ever see the full product, as it was originally realized?

Wonder if M will support hammer chips on the 64 bit windows XP when it comes out. Seeing as they are only focusing on 2k and linux drivers at the moment.

Well the alpha boards did seem to sport ridiculously large heatsinks...

IIRC everyone who saw the alpha boards being demoed were very impressed. Also IIRC Matrox were aiming for a 250MHz clock rate. Putting 2+2 together... (I'm probably making 5).
Blah blah blah nick blah blah confusion, blah blah blah blah frog.
