Why Scandisk !!!

Hi all,

I have just installed two differenr versions of Asus MOBOs and if I set the BIOS to PnP YES, a scandisk is performed at bootup this happend on both MOBOS.

OS. Win98SE with a normal shutdown. Any ideas?

do not leave BIOS on PNP - choose NO.

I'm not sure why the scandisk is occuring but bambam is correct about choosing No to PnP in the BIOS. Win98 will take care of the rest.
