  • Next Generation DVD Players

Somebody mentioned a while ago that new DVD players would start appearing on the market that could play MP3's and SVCD's as well as all the usual stuff.

Does anybody know if any are available yet?

    Thanks.

Try the brands, "Shinco", or "Hiteker".
They both have several models which do all u want.....

I have tested the Raite 715, Apex 600a (which still plays SVCDs, I believe) and a Philips (sorry don't have the model number).

I thought there is a Pioneer model (maybe 525) that is supposed to play SVCDS too. I think this one may too: Infinity LD-2020U.

A lot of the newer players will play SVCD but don't mention the fact! I have a Philips DVD711 which plays SVCD's I have created without a problem.

The Raite is also sold under the Yamakawa and Tokai brand names.

Some versions of the Apex 600a don't do MP3. I sent one that didn't back to buy.com a couple of months go.
