  • Tobacco Advertising banned in the UK

BBC, News, BBC News, news online, world, uk, international, foreign, british, online, service

No more billboards or magazine ads, or, curiously, on UK websites. (I dont think I've ever seen an online advert for tobacco anyway.)

This means the last gasp (no pun intended) for tobacco advertising is via motorsports such as Formula 1. Personally I think F1 is so dull and boring they'd have more sucess advertising Coffee (Hmmm, Red Bull sponsor somebody dont they?).

They tried that here in Canada. I think it ended causing more trouble for major events like F1 than anything else.
    Titanium is the new bling!

Same thing is going on in the USA....NASCAR is sponsered by Winston AKA the Winston Cup racing. I've notice since theres been a ban on certain types of adveristing of Tobacco in the USA, it just pops up in other forms. Like Poster sized advertisments in Gas stations as your pulling out of them
Why is it called tourist season, if we can't shoot at them?
