i checked the NOLF forum and it also seems to be appearing in some stores in the US already. so maybe some of you can already grab it in stores, i know i will
i just hope it doesnt come in a DVD-Box, but in a traditional box (those big heavy ones). i hate dvdboxes

sth. in the readme is strange though:

            MATROX PARHELIA 512:
Some very early versions of this card may exhibit missing textures on some
surfaces when weapons are fired or the key chain flashlight is used.
During certain cinematics, shadows on the faces and necks of models will
            appear to be very jagged.

            early versions of parhelia?

I tried the final demo version and it´s really awesome. Incredible performance for the visual candy this game has. Very, very good. IMHO much better coded than UT2k3, that has awesome graphics too, but too much performance penalty.

My brother managed to buy it last night. I haven't tried it yet on my system. What's this with 'early versions' of the parhelia? I bought mine right when it came out. Probably what they should have stated is "early driver versions." Hopefully that's what they mean....

runs at 1024x768x32 everything set to MAX and FRAPS reports framerates from the low 30s to low 50s. the funny thing is there is performance test included to check your settings, and first i set texture detail to medium, but the performance test told me: we recommend to raise your detail setting so who am i to oppose?

i think they really mean card versions because there is another paragraph about the drivers:

Frequent lockups may also occur with all driver revisions for this card
prior to v1.01.00.080. Please be sure to update to the latest driver
                      prior to playing the game.

Anyone running this on a G400? If not, any predictions about performance on this card?

I think you'd need T&L to render the water.....

You could perhaps use 3D Analyze to emultate T&L, but you still have the problem of getting cube-mapping to work...

I tried the demo with the G400, didnt work, it complains about the lacking T&L K6-III mentioned.
                              Heres what the readme says:

                              UNSUPPORTED VIDEO CARDS:
Any video card that's not equipped with Hardware T&L (Transform and Lighting)
will suffer either poor performance or complete malfunction. Even though the
Matrox Millennium G550 and S3 Savage Chipsets are known to have T&L support,
these cards only support this feature through their "Software" and do not
meet the minimum requirement of support through "Hardware." Please review
Section V. for the supported Video Card Chipsets list.
