  • What's the policy on swearing?

Lately (just a couple of posts) I've been swearing up a storm. I usually keep my language clean but I still want to know.

    Ex:
    Sh*t
    F*ck
    M*cros*ft
    B*ll G*tes
    Titanium is the new bling!
    (you heard from me first!)

Those are awfully extreme for this forum. Could cause some trama to our younger readers. Hell for our older readers for that matter.

I'd appreciate it if swearing didn't get extreme and you censored yourselves with *'s for the faint of hearted like myself

And remember swearing isn't big or clever so shut the f*ck up

And to contribute a little, like the old and wise say:

You dont eat or sleep or mow the lawn,
You just **** your uncle all day long

          [farting noises]
          [Terrance:] Hmm!
          [farting noises]
          [laughing]
          [farting noises]
[Some Guy:] What's going on here?
          [farting noises]
          [People:] OOOoooooooooooooh
          ****er ****er uncle ****a uncle ****a ****a ****a ****a
          [T & P:] Shut your ****ing face uncle ****a
          [Terrance:] uncle ****a

[Terrance:] You're a boner biting bastard uncle ****a
[Phillip:] You're an uncle ****a I must say
[Terrance:] Well you ****ed your uncle yesterday
          [Everyone: (laughing)]

This reminds me of a conversation between Kirk and Spock in Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home. (Yes, any doubts as to my geekhood are now erased )

                SPOCK
Your use of language has altered
since our arrival. It is currently
laced with -- shall I say -- more
                colorful metaphors: "Double dumb
ass on you" -- and so forth...

                KIRK
                You mean profanity. That's simply
                the way they talk here.
Nobody pays any attention to you if
you don't swear every other word.
You'll find it in all the literature
                of the period.

                SPOCK
                For example?

                Kirk thinks.

                KIRK
Oh, the complete works of Jacqueline
                Susan, the novels of Harold
                Robbins....

                SPOCK
                Ah... The giants.

Never mind doubts about you KvH, any doubts about Dogbert earning that title were just well and truly erased for ever. Although he's been doing a good job of that lately elsewhere.
