I have experimented with capturing direct from a satellite dish using my Marvel G200. I capture at 704x480, CD audio quality using the Matrox video tools program and want to render to SVCD.
I use TMPGEnc with Dr. Mercury's template for SVCD, but I'm uncertain what to specify for the field order. Most opionions are that the Marvel is Field Order B.
However, after burning to SVCD, or even watching the rendered MPEG2 file with Power DVD, the picture is a bit jerky.
Does anyone have some ideas on what I need to do to improve the picture. If it wasn't for the jerkiness, it would be a stunning picture.
