  • I'm lazy....Any links to how you capture vid using RRunner and XP...

    sorry to sound sooo..tiresome - but I am about to switch over to XP and would like to ;
    1. Still enjoy capturing TV programs on my Rainbow Runner G200
    2. Edit MJPEG file from the Zoran HW codec in Premiere6 under XP as I do now.

    If anyone has a set of easy links they can just cut and paste in a reply - much appreciated.

    I do recall I have to use Virtual Dub somehow - wouldnt mind practising in 98SE before I switch over.

    The other alternative - which is less likely is the use of the HuffyYUV codec - I still think these files are too big for me - espesh when you record for 5 hours at a time and I've only got 125GB.....

    TIA

          For the moment it's still better to capture using HuffYUV. MJPEG capture is theoretically possible, thanks to Nicram's efforts, but still very troublesome. Besides, isn't 125GB enought to capture Huff for 5 hours?

            It's not per se Nicram's efforts but somebody he knows in France that is doing all the work... he's just gathering all the attention by spreading the word.

              No matter if it's Nicram, Felipe, or the man on the moon, I'm still hoping someone can come up with Win2K/XP drivers for the RRS.

                  Yes, Greebe

                  I know, I should have written Nicram and friends. But Nicram deserves the credit for making the results available to RRG / Marvel users worldwide.
                  Last year I put the WiseVidtool on my homepage for downloading. I didn´t create the package myself, I just provide the space for people to take advantage of it. And I sure as hell made some users very happy! Now that´s exactly the kind of credit Nicram deserves.
                  By the way, shouldn´t we make the WiseVidtool available in MURC´s utilities section? I think it´s a useful contribution...

                    Yes adding it would be nice.

                    I like to be hard on Nicram for all the pimping of leaked information on Parhelia he was doing... not a good thing in my book (nor Matrox's or the rest of the BBz)... None the less he's a fine chap that really tries hard
