  • user permissions in win 98

I have a friend who runs the computer section of a primary school. She uses a W2K server with Win98 clients. The win98 machines have various profiles for teachers etc.

My question is this: Is there a way to block access to control panel for certain profiles. Obviously kids playing around with the wrong settings can be a little disruptive especially if there are 30 machines.

    Cheers in advance

You should be able to use the Policy Editor, (poledit.exe) to do this, it used to be on the Win95 CD so I assume they put it on the Win98 CD's as well
