  • Matrox MGA G100A-E 8MB

    CHIP:
    MGA-G100A-E
    9849KU215

    STICKER:
    G100A/4/CPQ
    Assembled in China

    MEMORY CHIPSET:
    SEC KOREA B53
    KM4132G512Q-8

I'm going to purchase this used Matrox "Classic" and I need a bit of help(more like a Matrox history lesson) regarding this card. So far, based on the Part Number(i.e. G100A/4/CPQ), it's a Compaq OEM.

    I have some questions:
    1) This is codenamed, Productiva, thus I need to download the latest driver(i.e. ver. 5.82.018) for it work flawlessly using Windows 2000, correct?
    2) Assembled in China(aren't alll Matrox cards made in Canada)?
    3) Does it support at least AGP 1x thus it would work on an Asus P3B-F?

    Many thanks.

I'll be putting it on a back-up computer that only uses 2D applications. For $6 USD, I'll be a foo not to get it!
