Ok here's the story, i just got a DV digital camera. I am using a firewire card to capture video, for some reason when i try to capture in AVI format i get no sound, however with all the other formats in xp movie maker everything is perfect. Anyone knows the reason, i have only been playing with it for half an hour, hehe maybe i should read the manual first

Have you checked your Windows and sound card mixers to make sure nothing is muted?

...right! Read manual only as last resort!
How can you possibly take anything seriously?

Try it without the overclocking. This can do all sorts of weird things when handling video and audio streams simultaneously. Also, you might check that the camera audio settings are the same as whatever software you are using: a re-render may be necessary to change them. Thirdly, is it a Sony camera? The DV out of some PAL models seems to be slightly different than others and a tweak may be necessary. Dunno how or why, though.

OK another update i got EditStudio 3 and everything is perfect now its probably some weird software thing. Or maybe you need to catch audio separately in EditStudio 2
