  • Stupid question

I have a Duron and was wondering whether the cpu fan blows air out or draws air in. The reason I ask is that I have a relatively small case. The PS is located directly above the CPU fan with only a gap of approx. 2cm. Therefore I thought it might be an idea to reverse it, or just get a smaller heatsink+fan (and a quieter one!)
    Thanks.

It usually blows onto the heatsink. But I wouldn't recommend getting a smaller heatsink unless it can dissipate the heat better. But usually they are more expensive cause they are made of copper.

Another idea is to get a dual fan PSU that way the bottom fan can removed more heat without havving to mod your heatsink/fan.
