  • Chaintech SiS 746 boards....

    7SIL: SiS746 + 962, micro ATX, Socket A, AGP 8X, DDR333, USB 2.0, IEEE 1394, ATA133, LAN

    7SJS: SiS 746 + 962, ATX, Socket A, AGP 8X, DDR333, USB 2.0, IEEE 1394, ATA133, LAN, IDE RAID

    Not much else available yet, but I question that the 962 southbridge info is correct; the 963 is more likely unless Chaintech is really cutting corners.

    hope they release a 963 ver. soon else it would be unfair to AMD builders if SiS release 963 for pIVs

      My understanding was that the SIS746 and the SIS746DX should both work with the 963 SB...

        Yup, they do....and the SiS 648 boards I've seen all have the 963 southbridge. But then some makers may be waiting for the 964 SB which is due later in Q4.

        Has anyone seen a company come out with such a snowstorm of chipsets as SiS has lately? Sheeshhhhh.....

              If MSI is going to come out with them they should be announced at their tech expos over the next couple of weeks.

              The one in East Brunswick New Jersey is the 19th, the one in Dallas Texas is on the 27th and there is another one in San Jose Califlakey Oct. 3rd.

              Now for the bad part: OCworkbench reports that both SiS and VIA have pulled official support for DDR400;

                Hey doc is there anymore info on that Show on the 19th? I live pretty close to it and I could do a spot report
                Why is it called tourist season, if we can't shoot at them?
