  • G400Max on GA-8IEXP Motherboard...

    Hi guys,

I've got one of the first series of G400Max cards (ie, does not run at 4xAGP).

It posts on the new motherboard that i have due to the wonderful little voltage switch built into the card.

When i look at the settings using the Matrox Tech Support Tweak Utility, it shows that the card is running at 4x (using build 4.0409 of utility). This doesn't make a great deal of sense, but it seems to work.

What i would like to know is, if i was to force the card to AGPx1 (for stability issues), is it going to work on this Motherboard? I've had a bit of a look around the documentation and also the Gigabyte website but can't seem to find an answer.

    Anyone got any ideas?
